Heirlooms: The Forest as Gallery

A radical reimagining of Art, Land, and Liberation

Presented by Slow Factory & Ward Gallery

Slow Factory founders Céline Semaan and Collis Browne, and Ward Gallery co-curators Gabrielle Richardson and Saam Niami cordially invite you to our first artist-run forest exhibition.

Heirlooms is a radical reimagining of art, land, and liberation—transforming the forest into a site of memory, resistance, and imagination. This inaugural gathering reclaims nature as both sanctuary and stage, bringing together artists, activists, and audiences for participatory artworks, performances, workshops, and rituals rooted in ecological restoration and cultural healing.

Featured artists include Vivien Sansour, Cassandra Mayela, Cara Marie Piazza, Carlos Agredano, Praise Fuller, and Nadia Irshaid, each presenting interactive works spanning seed storytelling, textile and botanical practices, eco-surrealist installations, performance, and regenerative food.
